5. Winter walk to Klammbach alp

Description of the way

From the Berghotel right upwards to the Gasthaus Froneben (1540 m). Here we take the way nr. 139 to the right and arrive at a forest street signed with nr. 13. We take a left and go up until we reach a crossing next to a high cross. Here we take the way left up to the Klammbach Alp. At the alp you have a wonderful lookout at the meridian of Sesto and you can also have a short break and refresh you. The hut is open during winter time and offers nice meals. We turn back the way nr. 13, which starts directly at the hut and leads down to the “Negerdorf/sette baracche” and then to the Helmhang Hut. At the Helmhang Hut we cross the ski slope and passing some farmhouses we come back to the Bergotel.

Tips and advices

The tour can also be done in the other direction stopping at the Froneben hut for a drink. Attention: you have to cross 2 x the skislope.
