6. Prato Piazza -Malga Stolla

Start from the Berghotel in Moos along the cycle path to San Candido, continue to Dobbiaco, turn left onto the cycle path towards Cortina until Carbonin. After Hotel ‘Ploner’, you reach the Prato Piazza meadow after 7 km and approx. 1 hour on the forest road. Croda Rossa d’Ampezzo and the Picco Vallandro follow you along the Prato Piazza meadows, after a short rest at the rustic Prato Piazza Hut, continue to the Hotel “Hohe Gaisl”, turn left towards the Stolla Hut, here a flowing trail (technically medium) leads you to Ponticello. Immediately after the partking lot, take the hiking trail to Braies di Fuori on the left. After approx. 10 km, you will reach Braies di Fuori via this partly lively trail, from where you can return to the starting point in the direction of Villabassa, Dobbiaco and back along the cycle path to our Berghotel.

Tip: take a detour from Prato Piazza to Monte Specie (2,400 m), approx. 300 altitude metres, with a fantastic view of the surrounding Dolomites
