Historical trail with interesting views and insights

Arrival and starting point
After San Candido, there to the right towards Austria. From Sillian or Kötschach Mauthen towards Obertilliach, there to the south into the Obertilliach Valley and on a road in bad shape to the Klapfweiher (ca. 1700 m).
Ascent
From starting point uphill towards Porze ridge (2362 m, ca. 2 hours) where the Via Ferrata begins.
Uphill
The Via Ferrata has a medium difficulty (with some exposed spots), which are interrupted by longer hiking passages. Also, the view is great, for example the view towards west where you can spot the Dolomites of Sesto from behind. Continuing this way, you arrive at the Filmoor saddle (2.453m) and the end of the trail.
Descent
The descent leads through a beautiful landscape across the Heretriegel towards the starting point.
Resumé
Beautiful edge crossing with longer unhedged passages, of those a few are kindly exposed. The interesting trail from the World War 1, was restored by Italian climbers and leads across a hackly edge to the “Wildkarlegg”.
